Brian Flournoy, DC
Dr. Brian Flournoy received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer college and started practicing in 1994. He studied boimechanical analysis with ART at the University of California San Diego. Dr. Flournoy became full body certified in Active Release Technique (ART) in 1997. He grew up in Tulsa and has been practicing here since 1995.
As an athlete throughout his life, he has participated in running, cycling, Ironman competitions, and marathons and is an avid supporter of promoting a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Flournoy personally experienced the benefits of ART after suffering a shoulder injury lifting weights in college. After being referred to an ART certified physician, he realized that the key to injury rehabilitation is to solve the problem, not just treat the symptoms. Thus began his passion for not only providing treatment to overcome injuries but also supplying the tools to prevent future injuries and maximize performance at any activity level.
Michelle Johnson, CFP
Michelle Johnson, a Certified Fitness Professional at Performance Care Fitness is the full time trainer at PCC. She is fueled by positive energy, creativity and a passion for seeing people get stronger.
She started her journey to health 20 years ago and went from being sedentary to practicing yoga, martial arts, weight lifting, functional training, endurance sport and hiking. Her interest peaked with weight lifting and functional training and she became a part time Certified Personal Trainer in 2006 with ISSA in order to share the incredible mental and physical benefits of building strength and a body and mind that can use it in real life.
In 2009 she had the amazing opportunity to begin working with Dr Brian Flournoy and her emphasis turned toward honing the mix of strength and functional training. In 2016 she became a full time trainer at PCF, and have since become ACE certified and am undergoing specialized functional fitness training. It is her greatest honor to be partnering with Dr Flournoy and serving our clients as we create a dynamic, continually evolving mix of exercises and programs designed to bring each one of us to a place of inside out integrated strength and fitness.
In her spare time you will find her trail running at Turkey mountain, riding her bike, cooking with friends or listening to great music around town.
