Dear Chiropractic Physicians
The OBCE believes that Governor Kevin Stitt’s Executive Memorandum, 2020-01, issued March 24th, 2020, recognizes Chiropractors as essential health care providers that should continue serving patients’ needs.
The Governor’s order does not force closure of any Chiropractic office. Notification of any changes will be communicated immediately to all licensed Chiropractic providers.
The OBCE recognizes Doctors of Chiropractic (DC's) as essential healthcare providers serving routinely and in times of urgent need for professional service and counsel to patients.
We are guided by federal definitions of essential infrastructure as outlined in the following Federal Memorandum: https://www.cisa.gov/publication/guidance-essential-critical-infrastructure-workforce
We encourage all Oklahoma Chiropractors to seek recommendations and protocols established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) regarding COVID-19.
The Oklahoma Board of Chiropractic Examiners remains focused on our mission to promote, preserve, and protect the health, safety and welfare of the people of Oklahoma.
